Our GPs at Marketplace Medical Centre Gungahlin believe very strongly in the view that where possible, prevention is better than a cure.
As a general medical practice, we also provide a range of services that support this goal. These are included as below after our billing policy:
Billing policy as below is applicable from 23rd September 2019.
BULK BILLING :
(1) Everyone with a Medicare Card; from 8:30am - 5:20pm appointment MONDAY - FRIDAY for general consultation.
(2) Children less than 16 years, Pensioners, health care card holders are bulk billed anytime MONDAY - FRIDAY for general consultations. See below for exceptions.
- Applicable from 5:30pm appointment till the close of business on weekdays and all day on Weekends/Public holidays if you do not have a health care card, pension card or if you are 16 year and older.
--Standard consultation $75 and Long consultation $110 (MONDAY - FRIDAY)
--Standard Consultation $85 and Long consultation $120 (ON WEEKENDS). See Exception below.
We now have modified fee policy for Weekends until otherwise advised. Please see below.
(FOR SATURDAYS ONLY)
-- All patients (including children less than 16, health care card or pension card holders) will incur a gap of $15 for Saturday appointments (Medicare rebates applicable*)
-- Children less than 16, health care card or pension card holders will incur a gap of $15 for their appointments. For all other patients, full private fee applies (Medicare rebates applicable*)

NON MEDICARE CARD HOLDERS
Please note - Full private fee applies everyday of the week.
Please cancel your appointment at least 2 hours prior to the allocated time to give us sufficient notice if you no longer require the appointment.
Appointments cancelled without notice or less than 2 hours from the appointment will attract a cancellation fee of $40.
Procedures generally attract a fee: Please discuss with your doctor.
All Work-related injury consultations require full payment on the day unless you have a claim number.
Medicare will not subsidize Work-related injuries.
